Ingredients:
International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI): This product does need to be listed on the product ingredient label.
Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Approved): This product does need to be listed on the product ingredient label.
Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Pour melted soap at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF into mold. Cool until soap has hardened. Remove soap from mold. For easier unmolding, place into freezer for 30 minutes, and then immerse bottom of the mold in hot water for a few moments. Do not use cooking spray to coat mold.
Cold Process Soap: Coat the mold with cooking spray. Pour soap at trace into mold. After 24 hours, flip mold over onto a clean surface. Gently push the back of the mold until the soap begins to release then pull the soap out of the mold with a gloved hand. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some CP soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.
Lotion Bars: Pour melted lotion bar mixture into mold cavities at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF. Allow mixture to solidify. Flip mold over onto clean surface. Gently push back of mold until lotion bar begins to release then pull bar out of mold.
Care:
Wash in warm, sudsy water. Please avoid the dishwasher because that can warp your molds or make them brittle.

"cute for gifts" |
COMMENTS: This is a very cute mold for gifts for teachers. It is also a unique gift for sales at apple butter festivals. Mold holds up well and the size of soap is actually quite large. Would also work in a cold/hot process soap but i have only used this one for melt and pour. very cute

"Apple with Leaf Soap Mold" |
COMMENTS: This is very cute. It makes an adorable bar. It does not take much time to make the leaves. Put that in the freezer a few minutes and spray gently with alcohol to keep your colors separate then pour a bit of cooler apple color on gently. Go ahead with the rest of your pouring. After cooling, just carefully push the apple out with your thumb. I had one of these molds for several years before I needed to replace it. A good deal. The product sells very well, especially if you make apple scent. Washes with warm water.

"Makes a nice soap but hard to pop out" |
COMMENTS: Hard plastic mold that is somewhat sturdy, but still I managed to crack one side. I found it difficult to pop certain types of bases out of the mold, the dryer ones like the low sweat seem to be a bit easier, but it takes them longer to set up. Before attempting to pop the mold I found that putting it in the freezer for a few minutes helps to pop the soap out. Just don't leave it too long, I think that's why my mold cracked.

"Time and Patience" |
COMMENTS: So the details at the top take some extra time because you either need to prop it up a specific angle or hold it until your soap has set enough that you can put it down without it running. As for once you fill the actual "apple" in, I found that one corner of the mold was not quite level so I had to prop the corner up just so it sat without sagging. Other than that it filled great and is a nice size soap.

"A little tricky..." |
COMMENTS: This is a cute mold, but creating the distinction between the green leaves and the red apple was a bit tricky. You can not do this easily by simple laying the mold flat on the counter - the soap will run out of the leaf depression into the apple area. I had to tilt the mold at an awkward angle to get the soap for the leaves to stay put in the right spot until it hardened. No other issues, however.

"Waste of money!!!!!!" |
COMMENTS: This apple mold is a waste of money. The first one I bought was not damaged until I used it. The plastic cracks very easily when unmolding your soap. Then, I bought another (don't know why) and that broke. There goes my money down the drain.
WSP Response: | Wow...I am sorry to hear of your issues and disappointment. This mold is actually a great seller and has been for over 10 years. The rounded design can be difficult to unmold but if you place the soap and mold in the freezer for 10 minutes and run the back of the mold under warm water, the soap falls right out. This technique and tip is good for any mold that has a rounded design. |
